Antique Automobile day, Sunday July 1st

fornbiladagurinn_2012The annual Antique Automobile day will be held on Sunday  July 1st. at the Reykjavik Open Air Museum.  Members of the Antique Automobile Club of Iceland will display their cars around the site.


A visit to the Open Air Museum provides people the opportunity to experience a trip back in time. There you can se members of staff wearing apparel as was the custom in the 19th century. At Árbær Farm the housewife offers freshly baked scones (Lummur). In the pastures you will see  horses, sheep, lambs, a cow and calf.
 

Coffee is available in Dillon House, the Museum´s coffee shop. The museum will be open on Sunday from 10-17 and the cars will be arriving be for noon. Entrance fee is 1100 ISK for adults, but free for children under 18 years of age.
