The story of a church that became a sportshall
The story of Landakot is told in a new exhibition. The house was built in 1897 as the first catholic church since reformation. In 1930 it became a sportshall and remained as such until recently when it was relocated to the musuem.
Come and play
Árbær museum opened a new exhibition focusing on childrens culture, toys and games in june 2008. The exhibition is housed in former church and sports hall Landakot. The exhibition is interactive and is suitible for all age groups.
Wool processing exhibition
This exhibition focuses on wool processing as it was carried out in Iceland for centuries. On display are cards for carding wool, spinning wheel and a loom

On the top floor of Líkn there is an exhibition of collection of furniture’s that came from a house in Central Reykjavik.
Car Repair Shop
The exhibition is a joint adventure by the Reykjavik City Museum and two Icelandic automobile artisan association. The exhibition was opened in the year 2000. The exhibition focuses on the main articles of car repair, painting and making.
Living and playing
The carpenter Helgi Jonsson built the house by Thingholtsstraeti 9 in 1846 and lived there with his family. His sons Jonas and Helgi took an active part in the music scene in Reykjavik and founded for example The Harp choir and The trumpet association of Reykjavik.
History of Reykjavik - from farm to city
This exhibition on the history of Reykjavik was opened in the year 2000. The aim is to show the principal features of the community's development from the settlement in the 9th century to present time.
Arts and crafts at Arbaer Museum
The “general store”in Laekjargata 4 includes an arts corner, where works of Icelandic arts and crafts are exhibited.
