Objects

The objective of the Museum's work is to enhance interest, understanding and respect for the history of Reykjavík, and to ensure that everyone has access to the city's cultural heritage.

Arbær Open Air Museum and The Settlement Exhibition Reykjavik 871±2 are divisions of The Reykjavik City Museum.

Publications

Sumardagskrá Arbær Museum publishes many books and reports which are for sale at the Museums office and in the ticket office during summertime.

A pamphlet for summertime programme is published every year and is available for free. A small guidebook is also on offer at the Museum during summertime. The following links lead to pages in Icelandic only.
